On March 16, during Saudi Arabia King Salman’s visit to China, CNBM participated in the series of activities at the Sino-Saudi Investment Forum held in China World Hotel as a representative of Chinese enterprises.  CNBM’s chairman Song Zhiping attended the Business Leaders’ Closed-door Meeting at the special invitation of King Salman.  At the forum, CNBM’s deputy general manager Huang Anzhong and president of Saudi Arabia ASK Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement.   

Up to now, CNBM has successfully implemented 24 cement production lines and a number of new building materials production lines in Saudi Arabia, having opened a new chapter in cement production in Saudi Arabia and having made outstanding contributions to modernization of Saudi Arabia’s building materials industry. At the Business Leaders’ Closed-door Meeting, King Salman spoke highly of and fully recognized CNBM.

Under the agreement, CNBM and ASK Group will carry out more extensive and close cooperation in cement, gypsum board and new building materials on the basis of years of friendly cooperation.  Previously, China New Building Materials Design Institute (CNDI) and Wuhan Building Material Industry Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (WBMDI) under CNBM Group had pragmatic communication about specific projects for future cooperation and signed the relevant cooperation agreements.  This signing of a strategic cooperation agreement at the group level marked the upgrading of the bilateral cooperation to a new height.
