On December 13, Mr. Song Zhiping, president of CNBM, met with the delegation led by Ali Aile Hamaile , Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Algeria and Mustafa, general manager of Algeria STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Ltd in Paris, France. The two sides have exchanged their views in depth on such aspects as the development of building materials industry in Algeria as well as the building materials and capacity cooperation between CNBM and Algeria, reached broad consensus and witnessed the signing ceremony of the EPC general contract for the cement production line with a daily output of 4200 tons (marine cement) and the float glass production line between CNBM and Algeria STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Ltd.

Algeria is the most northern country that lies in the area of “the Belt and Road” with a population of 39.93 million and maintains a long-term and traditional friendship with China. In recent years, under the leadership of Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of Algeria, all kinds of undertakings in Algeria have achieved a good momentum of development. As an important support for national economic development, the building materials industry of Algeria has also opened up the best development opportunities. In April, 2015, at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang, Abdul Malik Sellal, Premier of Algeria, visited China and witnessed the signing ceremony of the EPC general contract for one cement production line with a daily output of 4200 tons (oil well cement) between CNBM and Algeria STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Ltd in Beijing, thus officially opening the good beginning of building materials and capacity cooperation between CNBM and Algeria. The oil well cement production line of Algeria STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Ltd is located in Adrar Province of South Algeria with a weak industrial base where it is bitterly hot since it is near the Sahara Desert. Since the official ground breaking in December, 2015, CNBM Engineering and its subordinate enterprise Beijing Beijing Triumph have formed a highly-trained project team with high combat effectiveness. They have overcome many difficulties and entered into the phase of installation after the completion of civil construction in July, 2016. On October, 30, Bushuwalaika, Minister of industrial and mining, Ali, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Algeria and the governor of Adela Province made a special trip to inspect the project site of the oil well cement production line, spoke highly of the project progress and expressed their sympathy for all the staff of CNBM projects.

Premier Abdul Malik Sellal praised the construction of the cement production line of cement plant of STG in Adrar Province as “a miracle in the construction history of Adrar Province and even Algeria”. Dozens of mainstream media in Algeria have carried out extensive follow-up reports on the construction of EPC projects of CNBM and made a big splash of “capacity cooperation with CNBM” in Algeria, thus further expanding the influences of CNBM’s engineering and technique in Algeria. In this context, the Algerian government has examined and approved the cement production line (marine cement) and the float glass production line.
