On October 12^th, Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd attended the 4^th Sino-German Workshop on Passive House and Low Energy Building held by Science, Technology and Industrialization Development Center of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) and German Energy Agency, and delivered a keynote speech, which received active responses from participants.

The workshop mainly focused on technical discussion and communication about the current application, achievements and prospect of Sino-German passive low energy buildings. The workshop was hosted by Zhang Xiaoling, Director of the International Cooperation of Science, Technology and Industrialization Development Center of MOHURD. Mrs. Nicole Pillen, Vice Director of Department of International Energy Efficiency of German Energy Agency, introduced the latest development of German passive house. Han Aixing, Deputy Director of Department of Building Energy Efficiency, Science and Technology of MOHURD, and Wen Linfeng, Deputy Director of Science, Technology and Industrialization Development Center, made a speech respectively. They appreciated the achievements of Sino-German cooperation in the field of passive house, summarized the major achievements of China in the development of passive low energy building, and emphasized that China must develop along its own path in the field of passive house. Over 200 representatives from governmental administrative departments, real estate developers, design institutes, construction enterprises and product manufacturers and so on attended the workshop.

Zhang Zhenxing, leader of passive house and low energy building business of Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd, made a speech titled “Promoting the Development of Chinese Passive House Industry with the Increment Energy Investment and Management Contract” at the workshop. He introduced in details the increment energy investment and management contract mode, which is to sign a cerement energy management contract with the owners to promote it with further investment into passive building based on its original building foundation, and to recycle the increment investment of investors on passive building by shared savings, in order to gain the energy-saving benefit of passive building together with the clients. The key innovation of this mode is that owners of passive buildings can truly enjoy zero-input, zero-risk, steady and efficient energy-saving service returns in the full operational period of the project.

Zhang Zhenxing had also interpreted the increment energy investment and management contracting mode implemented by Sinoma Energy Conservation Ltd — the passive house transforming project of Jinglan Fund Town Boutique Hotel. He introduced the cooperation content, operational process, owners’ benefits and social assessment of the project. The passive house transforming project of Jinglan Fund Town Boutique Hotel was also elected as one of the top five demonstration engineering projects at the workshop.
